Most travelers to Vietnam need to apply for a visa before arriving in Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia and you can apply for these visas in your home country, visa application are available on-line in many countries. To get a visa on your own apply to any one of the Vietnamese Embassies and Consulates in the world. Documents needed: Passport of 6 months' validity, visa application form and possibly some other requirements by the local Vietnamese embassy or consulate. Visa forms are available by getting them directly from the Vietnamese embassy or consulate in your country or by sending them a stamped, self-addressed envelope addressed to the Visa Section. Fees vary from embassy to embassy (available on-line in some countries). It will take between 4 to 10 days depending on your country of origin.
